Road Trip Stop #4: Houston, TX

The one player in our pack who is on the full-time coaching staff of a Major League team, Gary Pettis doesn't know life without baseball. Maybe one day he will sit back at home in San Clemente and fish and golf, but until then he will do his best to make the Houston Astros better base runner and outfielders. Pettis was one of the best defensive centerfielders of the 1980s, collecting five gold gloves as he roamed center field. He was also a prolific base-stealer, swiping 354 bags in his career. From 2007-14 he was part of Ron Washington's coaching staff for the Texas Rangers, reaching the World Series in back-to-back years in 2010-11.
